Students of History Subscription Preview

Are you curious about what's included with a Student of History subscription?

Well, let's take a look!

Here's a sneak peek of what your subscription will look like after you login. First, you'll be brought to your dashboard where you'll see the curriculum that you have. It could be Civics, World, or US History.

After clicking on your curriculum, you’ll see all the units that are included. You get immediate access to all of them immediately after signing up. So, no matter where in the curriculum your course begins, you can get started right away.

From there, just click on any unit you want to start with and you’ll see it is broken down by day. Most units are between 7-10 days long. That is based on longer block-scheduled classes. So, if you teach daily 45-minute classes, you might need to break up each day’s lesson over two periods.

The lessons are designed to be easy to understand quickly, so you don’t need to slog through a bunch of pages to find out how to teach with the materials. You can see that each lesson includes a number of downloadable resources in addition to the lesson itself. Within the lessons are links to live videos, Google Docs, digital resources, and helpful websites.

The downloadable materials include printable worksheets with answer keys, station activities, projects, and anything else you or the students need for the lesson.

As you progress through the units, you’ll see there’s a variety of lesson formats, so students aren’t doing the same thing every day and getting bored with your class.

Some days, students are working in groups or pairs at stations to analyze a set of primary sources. Other days, you might go through a PowerPoint or Google Slides set with guided notes. There’s also engaging videos, hands-on interactive notebook activities, and digital notebooks as well that students work on online.

Each unit concludes with review games and activities before the final unit test. All of the tests are editable, so you can modify them as needed for your students. There are also editable Google Forms versions of the assessments as well to make grading even easier.

Then, you can move on to the next unit that is planned out just as clearly.

You can literally never have to stress out about lesson planning or pacing again.

Everything is ready for you, all used in real classrooms and tested out with students to be sure that you know things will go smoothly.
